Talking about Maxium Football or sports for that matter around here is a little touchy.

You might want to wait until or if Matrix releases the game.

But I thought that Matrix signed MafB. Was I mistaken? Why is this "touchy"? This is going to bring Matrix a HUGE fanbase if all of this pans out. In cunfused now. Am I supposed to take the hint that Matrix may not evern release the game at all?

Not trolling by any means, so please dont take it as such but I am concerned. :(

Yeah, I read that thread. Man, I hope there aint an uprising of people just because a sports title was signd on. This waould be stupid.

M-FB needs a good company to help it along and Matrix looks like it could be that publisher.

Matrix expanding into publication of computer sports games is just good business. There's a crowd of people over there with money in their pocket.

Besides, the way Matrix operates is to contract with game developers, so their other endeavors (like producing wargames) are unaffected. I'm not gonna be buying any sports games (it ain't my thang), but I can see why Matrix is doing what it's doing.

Think back on Avalon Hill and its perennial financial problems that finally killed it off. They tried everything, including publication of Dr. Ruth's Game of Good Sex and a black magic kit. It's a tough world out there, folks, and when these companies go under, our ability to enjoy our hobby is diminished.
Put my faith in the people
And the people let me down.
So, I turned the other way,
And I carry on anyhow.

On the contrary, I think the most members are if anything excited about Matrix branching out to a sports title. I dont really play a vast amount of different PC genders/ wargames CM ,HTTR are about it for now. But I have been known to boot up Madden now and then.
