Actually, the conspiracy theories about Roosevelt "letting" Pearl Harbor be attacked didn't start until long after the war was over.
I dunno about that - my Dad was a veteran of WWII, and he said he got really suspicious when a congressional investigation (which I believe was conducted during the war) subpoenaed a lot of documents, which got boxed up, put in a truck and then were incinerated. Gosh, no copies were available. What a shame. I think that might have started a lot of people thinking about a possible conspiracy during the war. Maybe this didn't get really moving until after the war due to patriotic sentiments, censorship, etc.
