Wheres the Austrailian Army to be found.

SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

I looked eveery where but no Aussies at all. In the New Zealand or ANZAK as they are called oobs the only mention of Aussies is in the engineer group. Or there no austrailians fighting in SPWAW. Or is anzak aussies and new zealand together or is there no one from new zealand.

What does ANZAK stand for any ways.

Thanx guys that was what i thought it meant. What confused me was the differation between the engineers only in the oobs. Thay actually say Aussie where none of the other listings of equipment or men do.

I think they did that only when one of them had different equipment than the other, or specialized units. If both their infantry were equipped the same, then it just says 'infantry', for example.

Good on you, Goblin. You no longer have to write on that big green paper, with the lines for capital & small letters. You can put the crayons away, too. (Removes dunce cap from the Goblin, and reaches up [;)] to pat him on his pointy head. ) [:D]

It had to come one day !!

You could have at least spelt it correctly.[:-]

Also I suspect the ANZAC OOB is a little incorrect in some areas. Not unsual, as its always been wrong since the days of SP1 - SPIII.

And before anyone says anything .. I am slowly working on corrections, betweem the word "work", and domestic aspects of life that does not include SPWAW.

Please post your work at The Depot!

We are undergoing a Depot OOB project. All changes as discussed and them voted on by any Depot member that wishes to participate. There are no arbitrary changes. All changes are agreed upon by the majority of people. The players are actually designing the OOB's.

There are various "Aus" and "NZ" formations which can be used as a guide for players to choose correct units/formations for a particular theatre. After 1942, Australian army was engaged primarily in the far east whereas the New Zealand army was fighting primarily in Italy.

Generic formations, which can be used in either theatre, are labelled "ANZ"
They struggled with a ferocity that was to be expected of brave men fighting with forlorn hope against an enemy who had the advantage of position......knowing that courage was the one thing that would save them.

The ANZAC supporters don't have near the problem we poor SADF (South African Defence Force) guys have. Even though the SADF fought many major engagements in North Africa, Sicily and Italy - they appear NOWHERE in SPWaW. And it's not as though our contributions were merely momentary; the SADF fought hard in the Great War as well - heck, we were even there in Korea.

I gotta tell ya - that pissed me off more than just a little. It nearly put me off SP for good. Luckily a friend of mine was kind enough to create a whole SADF OOB for me to play with ... [;)]

Thanks again, Flash.
