Lost: Japanese opponent...looking for replacement

Post by Gilligan »

Heya guys,

Ok, my Japanese opponent dropped out on me ( with good reason ) so I need a replacement. I am up for either scen 15, 42a or even Tanaka's scen 15 mod. All I insist on are 2 day turns. Everythign else is open for discussion. I am on the west coast, and can do a turn a day at the minimum, but thats not a requirement, just fyi on my end.

The usual stuff also..dedicated, somewhat experienced, and willing to trade verbal gotchas in good fun.

Just PM me if interested.[:D]

For two reasons mainly:

1) The game is a huge commitment, and given the fact that the norm seems to be a turn a day, minus the days when either side can't get a turn out due to real life, we're talking a 4 year time frame at best. While I plan on enjoying this game for much longer than that, the odds of finishing are greatly reduced, again, due to real life.

2) Having to plan operations using 2 day turns is something I'm interested in. I think it will add to the enjoyment of the game by having to plan ahead. My current game is 1 day turns, and there is nothing wrong with it, just looking for a different challenge.

And yes, when I think I have a good grasp of the Japanese side of the game and take on a PBEM game against an allied player, I will want 2 day turns as well. Its the economic side that is holding me back atm...but not for much longer. Soon Gilligan will raise the Rising Sun flag and declare war on some lucky allied player.

trust me buddy, since im a jap fanboy i started out playing japanese. It took me 5 hours and a lot of manual reading, but its the best way to learn. Play a PBEM as japan vs someone, dont touch much for a week or so, then start tinkering with it, as your instinct tells you. thats the way to get the economics.
