Great Game!

Battles In Normandy is the third game in the Decisive Battles game series. Battles in Normandy recreates all aspects of the Normandy campaign, from the landings on the first day to the final climax of the campaign at Falaise. Strategic Studies Group rewrote the Decisive Battles game engine for Battles in Normandy with a host of new special rules for amphibious and airborne operations, plus a huge number of other enhancements.

Great Game!

Post by VI66_slith »

I would like at this time to take a few moments to tell you how good this game is. Ok, time to get back to the game.

A quick note: this is also the game engine that the American Civil War has been waiting for in my opinion, as the regiment was the basic unit for field maneuvers in that war.

I've been playing games like this since 1988 on the computer and this is as good as it gets. No other operational wargame can beat it.

Both games are programmed very well. HPS WWII and modern era games are more tactical in nature. HPS games also have good graphics but SSG's games have a super AI and innovative interface.

I must agree!! This is an excellent game! This is one of only a few pc games that has an outstanding AI. The AI for BON is far superior to Korsun Pocket or any other I have seen in the recent past. Keep up the good work.
