Nations in Pac War II

I would like to see some realistic representation of the actual nationalities included in the Pacific War.

Any nationality with an * should not be able to be controlled by a human player (Historically their moved hampered instead of aided the Allies). The Communist Chinese (**) should not be allowed to be controlled by a human player, AND should not be on the side of either the Allies or the Axis. They should be at war with everyone.

What do you mean by "realistic representation"? Everybody listed is represented except for Russia, Thailand, Canada, France, the different groups of Chinese, and the distinction between East and West Africa.

Russia doesn't matter as it came into the war when it was already over, in essence. Canada sent most of its troops to Europe, I've never heard of any large Canadian forces in the Pacific. I don't know about Thailand, I've never heard of any large forces of theirs fighting US or Brits. Representing Thailand has a problem in that Thailand started out as an ally to Japan and ended the war as a member of the Allies. France was already controlled by the Germans. The Vichy French simply surrendered French Indochina to Japan, there was no fighting.

The idea about having 3 different Chinese forces with different levels of control by the player, is a great one, though.

There was a Free French force on New Caledonia, Two Canadian Battalions took part in the defence of Hong Kong, the 13th Canadian Infantry Brigade took part in the liberation of the Aleutian Islands, there were Canadian Divisions on the West coast as coast defence units against the Japanese, the CL Ontario was used in the Pacific, and the 6th Canadian Division was going to be sent to the Pacific for operation Olympic.

The 2nd, 3rd and 4th Thailand Divisions took part in the invasion of North Burma. They didn't engage in much fighting, but, they were there.

For Russia, I figure that their forces should be represented, as, they posed a major threat to the Japanese. If the Japanese remove too many divisions from Manchuria, the Russians might invade (I would like to see this as a possibility, much like how WIR represented the other fronts of war).

East and West Africa might not seem as a big distinction, but, they were drastically different formations, quality wize.

Didn't a number of German U boats operate in the Indian Ocean with some success? How about including them .....Paul
