CTD

Post by deadman »

I am having some trouble playing HTTR. After re-boot (I always do this before I start a game), I get into the game using the "quick start" command in the Start menu. Once I select a scenerio and begin the game, my game crashed to desktop almost every time after about 10 minutes. It looks like my Explorer is causing the trouble. Before I trouble you with a save game, should I reinstall and try again? Or is there something more going on here (possibly driver related)? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

Dave, Ariba, Xavier and Steve are taking a break from now until 4 January. So you will probably not see any responses from them.

You always had this? Because IIRC you own the game for some time now? If nothing in your system changed I would try a fresh install of HttR.
If something changed then check if your DirectX, graphic drivers, sound drivers and chipset drivers are up to date or post a DirectX Dialog file to your post so that developers can check it.

Un-installed, re-installed, re-loaded patches... As long as I close out of all of my drivers except for "Explorer" and "Winmgmt" everything works just fine.

Thanks,
