1.4 Won't Start Scenario

I installed 1.4 from 1.3 and now when I try to select a scenario, I get kicked to the save game menu. I can't start a scenario. I reloaded the game using 1.0 and it worked fine. But when in installed the 1.3 and 1.4 patch, same problem

Try redownloading the patches....they may have become corrupt in transfer

You check your options are right? that sounds like a PBEM being started with Historical First turn switched on.

I think I had a patch reset turn time to nothing...had to set to one day turns to get it to load a turn.

I noticed that after running a patch, all of my preference and option settings are
set back to the "default" ones that come out of the box...

As Mr.Frag has hinted, recheck all your game settings, and your PBEM opponents too.
