Option to Seperate Air group from Comp. Control

Post by Gyorai »

Two cents....

Please have the option for players to keep control of land air group placement at certain bases regardless if the Naval or Army functions still under Computer/partial computer control. In the old PacWar game you needed to take the full duty from the computer just to maintain the land air groups at their assigned bases!

Amen to that comment!
I second the motion to seperate out the Air War from the rest if possible. If we could seperate the services under "controls" then it would open up a whole new war for the Allies and the different commands of war. (possibly even speeding up the game for the players!)

I suggest that one way to handle this is to, for example for the US, put in the USAAF "Air Force" (e.g. 8th AF, 14th AF and so forth)HQs as separate entities from their theater HQs. Then you could set target priority types for all bases assigned to that HQ and then override those target types with specific missions assigned by the player at specific bases.

Didn't we have this conversation already?
