Task forces in doldrums?

Post by DS Kee »

Greetings,

I've noticed a few times that some of my transport TFs seem to be stuck in the doldrums. They just sit in one spot and don't seem to move. Under 1.3, I was able to prod them into movement by changing their destination and Home Base orders, but under 1.4 I haven't been able to get one to continue movement. Has anyone else seen this? Is there a workaround that I don't know about?

I'm worried that the 2nd USMC Division might take action before long, and I'd hate to think of what happens to the poor sailors :P

Thanks,
Terry

I've seem some that seem to do so, but in the end they are actually making progress.
Do they have enough fuel? Sometimes they do that if they are trying to refuel each other.

Also if they have patrol/do not retire orders and you've given them an open water destination between their start and end destinations, they'll sit in place once they reach that open water hex. This could be what you're seeing.

They can also get confused if they have orders to follow a TF, and that TF has since been reorg'd out of existance (course that's never happened to me![;)]).
