Questioni about air group type change, thanks

Post by WWII »

Question one:
I have type A fighter group on one base which can be upgrated to type B. but at the same time, I have a totally different fighter type C with plenty of planes in pool, which is better than B. Is there any way I just add another group to the base with type C fighters, instead of upgrade A to B?

Question two:
If I divide one air group (ex 20 planes) to two and move one of the two (10 planes) to another base, when replacement happens, will both two groups (10 planes each) be replenished to the original size group (20 planes)?

Thanks.

The upgrade paths are fixed, you can't change them only holt then if you chose not to upgade, for example i do this with some of the Hudson groups as the Beaufort has a much shorter range.

No they will remain as groups of ten. You can divide air groups in to their component squadrens and move them about as much as you like, to different bases and even thearts if you like althought it might be worth while changing their hq to the area they are now operating in ( this will cost PP's). To re-combine them you will need base all the units together ensuring they are all of the same aircraft type.
