I am play Japan against AI. Which kind of ship can be converted to other type? How to do that. Thanks in advance.

Hello,

You can convert any AK of at least 7000Tons, mooring at osaka to
AR, repair ship
MLE, mine layer tender,
AV, floatplane tender,
and perhaps a non interresting one i have forgot.

The ship will then return in the pool for a few month till it has been converted.

Dunno if Japanese could do this, but Allies can convert PGs into PT boat tenders (AGPs?). Since Japan has only a few PT-class boats, might not be a great move.

the Allies can. That is also not on the list above.

Yep, they can convert to AE. They can not convert to PT boat tenders, Destroyer tenders.
