I am thoroughly enjoying reading all of the AARs - and the different styles. I've just started a PBEM game and as Japanese am trying to keep track of what is going on and where - I notice a lot of you are able to quote the combat reports at length. I hope this is not because you are trying to retype them all out and that there is a simple way of getting them into a word document or something. If there is a routine, a file to look for, or some 3rd party capture you use can you let me know as I'd really like to be able to pull this information from the game and hold it for a while. You never know I might end up doing an AAR myself as that takes the bulk of the writing out of the equation.

All I'd have to overcome then is the embarassemnt of the basic mistakes I'm making - I just hope my opponent is also making them.

Cheers

Roger

Hi, In the "Save" Folder you will see a text file Combatreport.txt. We just cut and paste from it. This file is overwritten after every turn (or every time you run a replay of a turn)

I'm not retreating, I'm attacking in a different direction!
