Japanese Fuel - Any Comments?

Post by WiTP_Dude »

Does anyone have comments on their experience with fuel as the Japanese side. I've made it to November 1943 and never had any any problems with keeping the fleet well fueled. This is despite sailing ships all over the map from Alaska to New Zealand and not even securing Palembang until the Spring of 1943. I usually run my ships on mission or full speed too.

i'm in 02/43 now as japs and not experiencing any fuel problem, it's flowing all the way out.
It could be that we both don't send it to the heavy factories (only to osaka, forgeting the chinese factories and some other factories), thus having a lack of HI on the long term (for the moment i still have 13600HI points, playing very hard)

As far as I know, the factories don't use any fuel. They only use heavy industry points. HI is created by combining resources and oil. The side effect of this process is the creation of supply and fuel. Therefore the lack of HI would also imply a lack of fuel.

I'm talking about oil, if we send it only to the main factories, and not to china for exemple, than it's normal that we have plenty of it and perhaps, on the long term, a lack of HI. How much HI points do you have left at this stage of the game?

Fuel is never the problem; only ships use fuel. Supply is the problem; everything burns supply.

Too much fuel available
Yamato spent solomon island campain anchored mostly as a fuel barge, unable to be deployed without chewing up vital reserves.
Im sailing all over the place and fuel is never a problem.
