Sample Mega Campaign?

Dear Staff,
The 8.3 manual mentions a sample mega campaign included, but I don't find it under mega campaigns. Is it somewhere else, or if it was not included anymore, is is avaliable for separate download?

Welcome aboard, mamnich. The free download gives you several mini-campaigns, which can be chosen from the menu. Click solitaire play, and then campaigns, and you'll be shown the choices.

Baneman, the mini-campaigns (such as Guadalcanal), give you an idea of what the Megas are about, but remember, the manual was written when version 5.0 came out. Technically speaking, though, there is not a Mega Campaign Demo included.

However, the guys at the Depot have their new "Das Reich" campaign available (for free), and it has some 40 scenarios.

Thanks for the info on the Das Reich campaign!! I knew nothing about it until I saw this thread. I guess I should visit SPWaW.com more!

I have a quick question though. The download version is v1.6 on the main SPWaW page, and underneath it says there is a patch file. The file link says "Patch to v1.6", so my question is, do I need it even if I HAVE 1.6? I wasn't sure if the "to" meant the patch was FOR 1.6 or if it patched an earlier version TO 1.6.

The patch is to bring an earlier version up to v.1.6. If you d'load the full game, you will have the latest version. Hope you enjoy it...we worked long and hard on this baby. [:D]

I just want to be sure.
Downloadable version of SPWAW (free one) has no Mega Campaign, right? But If I buy it I will get all four Mega Campaigns with game?
I downloaded free version and just don't know what is the deal with those Mega Campaigns.

Get Das Reich at the SPWaW Depot. www.spwaw.com

Goto the forums, there is a download link stickied in the General Forum.

You unzip the file right into the Campaigns folder found in the game.
