Release Date?

Post by genie144 »

Any news on the release date and price? Also is this going to be available in stores or just through the matrix site? Am getting anxious...

I see no reason why this won't be availabel in Feb.

I believe we are still planning on making this available in a boxed copy on game store shelves and via download, i will confirm this with David H.

I sure hope we get a lot of snow in Feb/Mar. Between this game, Guns of August, and my ongoing WiTP games, I'm gonna need some time away from work...

At the moment (without the opening video), the game is about 320 MB zipped. I don't what else Matrix will add to the download, but this gives you an idea.

Yes, they're off. According to Matrix, it is impossible to get EB to have correct dates. We're working as hard as we can to finish up this month or early next month. I'm not sure what the latest production timeframes are, so I can't say exactly when the game will hit the streets.

I have a friend who works for EB, and have followed a number of games release dates on their site... EB always has the wrong dates, so I am not worried about that :) Besides I would rather have a game that is as complete as possible out of the box, versus one needing instant updates and patches...

Things are going pretty well - from what I'm seen so far. A few major bugs that we are still trying to track down, but otherwise its been pretty rock solid since early Alpha.

It will not be out in the stores by Feb 7. If everything goes well we could be done with the software by then, but you have to add production and shipping time. A more realistic date is late Feb/early March.

Stop adding another MONTH to it Joel! lol Feburary!! say Feburary definitely. ;)

You wouldn't want me to go out and buy HOI 2 instead now would yah? hehe, not that I would, but, it's a nice threat. ;)

Shwerpunkts AGW and GGWAW, and then SC2, what a great year for wargaming, and hopefully the prices will be right on all 3 of them. ;)
WE/I WANT 1:1 or something even 1:2 death animations in the KOIOS PANZER COMMAND SERIES don't forget Erik! ;) and Floating Paratroopers We grew up with Minor, Marginal and Decisive victories why rock the boat with Marginal, Decisive and Legendary?

I would be surprised if Matrix did not offer a direct download option for the game. However, I know it is going into stores so I don't know for sure what Matrix plans.
