I don't know. I think they are flying the ground attacks because there is no CAP. But the Naval attack all of my ships except the ones at Buin are under good CAP. I don't know. I have always found it hard when i play the allies for 2E or more bombers to fly from any thing but a size 4 airfield.

OK< Z has wisely withdrawn active groups from RB, and now he is attemtping a landing at Buin? or anouther base? maybe those ripe ak./aps are just bait? anyway nothing else to report other than I Bombarded Lunga and bombed it, and bombed airbase at RB..

Now there are 4 fask forces.. two steaming in and two away from Buin area.. my pt group was able to sink an msw
I suspect Z will come down in force and crush my walnuts again... he has allot of surface and carrier power.. but his lba is seriously compromised by Lunga and Rabual being bombed continueously
My units are on the move.. we will see if anything else fallls here is a screenshot from the cr

I must be so very carefull in the BKZ, Betty Kill Zone.. as Z has demonstrated that a large cv tf and betties can hurt the US there! The other Zones are completely mine in terms of air power.. last turn none of the flights where oposed .. let the games begin!

I will take these guys, and draw a reaction force.. or not.. if Z want top play in this area now, let him come... btw just had a sub surface and pound a jap troop ship with her deck gun "YEH"[:D]
Mutsu was seen leaving area.. and those five to seven BB are possible still inside their own air cover at KJ or TK, along with cv groups....

In the next two months all those lovely cv's lost in 42 start ariving![:D]
and then we can do some force projection as Z cannot hold off 12-15 cv/cvl/cve in a major enjagement.. and pilots are dying for him..
after solomans starts to wrap up, where to next.. Tarawa is still hi, as is Central NG... and there is always Truk! Probably will need to make some late 43 plans to invade his Eastern ISLAnd network as well... if I could raid into Indonesia.. but there you have that same torpedo alley problem

Well its 3 31 43 and a reaction ca force is hell bent on attacking my invasion fleet, they dropped off the first wave and then are headed to beach "b".. Shortlans should fall this turn... and he caught one of my three cv groups refueling, and two of my surface groups switched to fast transport, fortunately they had yet to reach portrs.. so every body is headed toward the slot... sounds interesting, I hope my lba torpedo or dive bombers fly, if not they could get all shot to hell again... and if his carriers arive it will be a slugfest as I really want to at least damage them if they get to frisky.....
This is all Zone A area .. with his force steaming in from the north of course...

Darn it, those lct where sunk even though I stoped them from unloading and sent them away.. next waves sent to Munda as Shortland fell to no opposition, Munda has a size 2 airfield and a Seseabo inf group.. I am going to enjoy their surrender.. oops.. deaths very much hahahahahahahaha .. freeboy remembers to remind cv and surface and bombard groups strong jap forces are in area.... my second cvl group arrives... Z is able to zip in and out using the games spotting and attacking rules.. his fleet slipped away to the north... if they come back hopefully they will be ingaged as I have lots and lots of ca/bb/dd/cv/cvl planes/ trains and automobiles [:D]

Lunga , Buin and Rabual are the only bases Z has left with troops in the Solomans...
Shortlands and Munga fell!... and I am rapidly building up to take those last three away from him.... afterwhich I must carefully consider his awesome lba fleat and how to best attack it...
I see Truck can be reduced by massive lba raids as was RB perhaps that is the equation... He is massed at RB TK KWN...

Every base taken adds points to my side, and takes them from Z's.. and I think he may lose some more troops in Munda soon, they must be reduced to starvation now, probably eating the dead... Lunga is so cut off... and it too soon will fall
In the Soloman Z holds Lunga.. and only Rabaul and those bases immediately East and North of it! plus Tassawatever by Lunga.... and Buin... Buin and several other bases are held lightly, with only Lunga posing a threat to the sea lanes in the Zone A and it must be taken, besides those guy want to meet there most reveared ancestors

Well he has taken the sol. Islands. I really did not put up a fight for most of these Islands. I had very little troops there. No reason to waste them in a tough area for me. You can't defend every where our you will be weak. He hasn't got to my main line yet. If he wants to bomb Turk from Rabaul go a head. He will have no fighter cover from there. He is trying move in Burma towards that base on the coast.

The biggest problem for me is lack of good air from naval air as my fleets wher severely depleted in 42.. and the lattest round saw me crying in my beer... so now we are in a grind mode.. I might as well grind up his bases in this zone A until such time as I have enough firepower to help attack into the more strongly contested areas....
I could attack along the coast up into Northern NG.. but I run into a severe logistical problem unttil Truk is reduced somewhat as he can sortie from that base.. like he did from Rabual.. caused me great amount of frustration watching his BB steam out and back... well they are now pulled out to to the port and airfield being shut down at Rabual...
