Question about "accuracy" for devices

I've seen accuracy ratings from 12 to 200 for devices. Can anybody tell me what the scale is that is used for accuracy? If it's something in the form 0-max number, what is the minimum and maximum values available?

I'm just trying to understand what this field does and right now without knowing the field limits I can't judge anything.

I would second this request. it is hard to make rational decisions and assistance if some of the inner workings of the different values are unknown. maybe we should start a thread that discusses this also????
