Just wanted to get some comments, names and examples off WIR players, who they think would best fit this title.

You! Havn't played Josan, but played most of the other active players, you get that title from me hands down, but several other guys are a close second.

When talking about WIR with players, Josan's name always comes up as the most experienced and most skilled player around, but surly there have to be others? Who would you rate as close 2nd?

Our game is a fantsy game that will only have one outcome, a German defeat!! I will be very surprised if Germany is not knocked out. It is possibly for Germany to get tactical success in some areas but in the bigger picture it is only a matter of time until she is bleed to death.

I don´t agree. In WiR, German player has a good chance of victory in 1941 campaign, in fact is too easy to conquer Moscow.

If you want, we can test it, in PEBM game. The Germans can reach the gates of Moscow in September. In fact, I proposed a home rule stopping the tanks in swamps and in mountains, to avoid unhistorical running.

The '41 campaign is a bit tilted towards the Krauts but Moscow is not "too easy" to capture. If kingtiger doesn't take your challenge then I will.

Tom1939 and myself are have a possum game going that both sides skip turns untill mid 1942. My comments were about that game.

I agree with mobile korps stopping when entering mountain and swamp hexes as I believe this is 1 major fault in this game.

I agree that Moscow is too easy for Germany to capture in 41 using WiR.
Possumv6 makes it harder but it is still well within Germanys reach to capture Moscow and Lenningrad in 41.

The 41 campaign is pro german, but our campaign with possum 41 with skipped turns until 42 makes the soviet an inexperienced but huge battlemachine. I think it is fair to say that a draw would mean a masterfull german effort. I think soviets only could loose if I play real bad (can happen, but I rate myself as average). But one big german mistake will end the war, as there will be no time or resources to stop the red army.

We will play with wieschi's house rules, which are quite complicated. Any more simle houserules are welcomed by me (if it does not hurt my beloved red forces:))
