Hi. In my opinion the picture of the Kaga isn't correct. It shows a mixture of the state of the ship before and after the modernisation in 1934-36.
The lenght of the flight deck is correct for the state after 1936. But three details are wrong.
1. There should be a small island on starboard side.
2. The funnel shown in the picture was shortened in the modernisation.
3. The forward hangar deck was lenghtened.

The Hiryu picture is much better but there should be two funnels amidships (on starboard side).

Only some details but I thought you would probably like to know.
