BIN patch download problems

Post by bubba5 »

Have tried everything I can think of, including several download managers. Can't get it done. Please help. Be simple, I use a computer as a tool only. Thanks.

Hi Bubba,

Can you describe in more detail the problem you are having? Is there an error message that comes up?

No messages. Simply does not connect. Have shut down all firewalls and tried to no avail. Can download from other sites. Now cannot download the new patch for KP although I got 1.10 several months ago. Download managers have given both "busy" and "connection actively refused" messages.

I will let Matrix answer this one as it is their site. Have you tried clicking on the link from our main site at http://www.ssg.com.au/ ? Look at the news items on the from page, and about the 5th one down gives a link to directly download the file (although this link still points to the Matrix hosted file).

Bubba5,

There has to be some local configuration issue at work here, as we are not having any problem with test downloads or getting any other reports from customers. Try right clicking on this link, choose "Save Target As" or "Save Link As" depending on your browser, pick where you want to put the file and let me know if it works for you:

Tried link. "A connection with the server could not be established" error message appeared. Tried Internet Explorer direct and followed the instructions in the error message with no success.

Is it possible to e-mail me these patches direct? Or do you have further suggestions?
Like SSG with this PC, SSG is the only site I am having trouble with. It seems to be worsening, I cannot now connect with Matrix Games from the game, I have to type in the address after opening Internet Explorer.

Thank you,
Mike

Having received no further replies since 1/8/05 and still unable to download patch. Would someone please e-mail me the patch? I would like to start a PBEM game, either side, any scenario, with 1-2 moves per week. Thanks,

Mike,
Shoot me an email to support@ssg.com.au and i will email you the patch. You will need an email address that can accept about 2mb worth of file (im not sure that a free email account such as hotmail would allow this).

I'm sorry I missed your first reply, sometimes my scan of the forums is not 100%. If you don't get the patch from Alex, e-mail me at support@matrixgames.com and I'll send it out. On a side note, it sounds like either your system or your ISP is having some internet issues which you might want to have checked out.
