A note on WPO US aircraft.

Post by Tankerace »

In order to take advantage of WitP's upcoming Version 1.5, in which players can select aircraft upgrades, I have changed the WPO US aircraft upgrade paths a bit.

OLD WAY
Vought VE-7
Curtiss F6C-1
Curtiss F6C-4
Boeing F4B

NEW WAY
Vought VE-7
Curtiss F6C-1
Boeing FB-1
Curtiss F6C-4
Boeing FB-5
Boeing F4B

The FB series were tested by various units in the 1920s, but never went into mainstream service like the F6Cs. Thanks to 1.5, I have changed this, to represent 1) the plausible amount of aircraft production, and 2) to better represent the non-uniformity of aircraft in the United States Navy and Army Air Service/Corps. For the US army, it becomes:

De Havilland DH-4
Curtiss P-1A
Curtiss P-1B
Boeing PW-9A
Curtiss P-1C
Boeing PW-9D
Curtiss P-3.

For those who don't know, the P-1 series are faster land versions of the navy F6C-1s, the P-3 the F6C-4, and the Boeing P-9s the FBs.
