Question on fixes in 1.5

Post by castor troy »

What will be fixed in 1.5?

1) progress in the leader-bug
2) crash with night fighters
3) occupied bases that stay under enemies control
4) disappearing LCUs when being transported by planes
5) broken "follow unit" order for LCUs
6) CTD after exiting save menu or ship reinforcement screen

Any official answers perhaps? [&o] And any news on availability? I´m waiting for 1.5 to begin another grand campaign and since I´ve heard that 1.5 will come out I don´t want to continue my running campaign (because I´d love to change my Jap plane upgrade paths).

I'm waiting for the Final Countdown alternate Dec. 7 start option.
I give approximately two fifths of a !#$% at any given time!

After the rioting which occcured due to unmet delivery dates with 1.3, I have a feeling that future patches will be unannounced surprises when they arrive.

1.5 will be a while off. No need to deprive yourself, just start a game with someone who agrees to restart when 1.5 comes out. Frankly, with the changes in 1.5, there is going to be a mass panic learning curve on aircraft and production all over again ... study up now on the assumption that you'll be changing around your aircraft.

Mr. Frag, can you give us the details so we have something to study up on? [:)]

It's really quite simple ... you already know what Japan has for production factories. That is not being changed.

Just imagine that any aircraft can be converted to any other aircraft of the same general catagory assuming it is available and in production.

I'll put together a list.

A list would be great, as I imagine that the Ki51 Sonia can't become a Betty, even though they are both level bombers. But
I really have no idea.

A list would be cool. Very cool. [&o]

edit: even just those General Categories would be great.

I must be thinking of the Lily. I just started into the Japanese side a few days ago (and the more I get into it the more I like it).

Thanks a ton Mr. Frag, I can see clearly now [:)]

I second! Or at least to be able to change aircraft type within a unit if you have enough aircraft
in pool.

Will Japan be able to keep old aircraft types in production, without having the computer reset your factories, when new types become available?

That one is in the works, wasn't orginally planned but the reasoning for it made a lot of sense.

This does have a dark lining to the cloud though ... you will *probably* loose the automatic upgrade ability of factories to new aircraft.

Allies are the same as they are today from a production standpoint, but they too can choose aircraft, just can't mess with production...

Not sure I understand this one[&:]

Toggle computer control - computer is in control of aircraft production, player can only change how many to build, not what (current system only remove the ability to have the player change aircraft types).Computer does aircraft production upgrades for aircraft types.

Toggle player control - player is in control of aircraft production, player can change how much and what types of aircraft to build. Player does aircraft production upgrades for aircraft types.

Mr Fragg,

Are they planning on doing any work to upgrade the automatic convoys system to overcome some of the issues that have been previously raised such as plotting through enemy held territory?
