playtesters?

Post by willycube »

I would like to get back to strategic games that I used to play but I got so dissapointed in these games that I stopped playing them. I play mostly Moha on line now but yearn for a good world war 2 game. I got turned off several years ago after Talon Soft did a remake of Third Reich. Third Reich was the best board game I ever played, it is a shame that with all this so called talent around no one can do that game right. Talon Softs attempt was horrible, Graphics were fair for that time but the AI? was horrible, how come a person who buys the game can come up with all kind of bugs or bad attempts for an AI within hours of playing and the play testers cannot seem to find the same things wrong that I find after weeks of testing? GGWAW with it's 3 month turns sound a little like Third Reich, BUT, can someone give me a reason to purchase this game? The FAQ's and the posts sound good but I have been down that road before, not being smart just want a good world war 2 game to play.
