A contest !!

Post by deVada »

Hi !

Since the forum has almost died (is everyone too busy to play ?), I am starting a contest.
Who'll have more allied CVEs sunk in full campaign - he shall win.

Prize for first place will be negotiated with the winner.
Please send the sunk ship screenshots (with date) to my email.

Regards
Peter

Just to make sure -- the contestants have to play as the Japanese, right? Also, should the standard Campaign 41 game be used, or "Rising Sun" (Obc_b) which is optimized for a Japanese Human player?
Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

Hi Capt. Harlock !

This contest has one goal. To tell me has Emperor Graham (we're in late XII of 1944) beaten the record (I'm incompetent or what ?). He has sank 19 allied CVEs (mostly with Kamikazes) and I have placed all remaining one in the back. They're a wonderful magnets for Japanese planes.

Any campaign starting in 1941 or even 1942 could be good, allied commanders can also send their opponents results. AI doesn't counts. He's silly. [:D]

Btw. Graham has lost over 150 tankers so far, but his fuel level is allowing his planes to fly and ships to sail. How much more need I to kill ?

Regards
Peter

Well how about that? All US starting fleet in BB/CV plus almost all new naval forces including a huge number of DDs and MCS/AO/Tk and rest till 1943/4 when i get a decisice victory event since allies have very heavy casualties especially after i landed in Australia?

The last game of PacWar I played which ended in 8/2004. My opponent called quits late 7/1945. The count was 21CVs 9CVLs 35CVEs and 16BBs lost for the Allies. If the Japanes player can save a lot of Betties, Okhas are the real threat. The Allied player needs to pound the Japanese air force starting as early in the game as possible and make it a game of attrition. I as the Allied player would start as early as possible to kill Japanese fighters. It makes it hard for Japanese bombers to take on the US fleet without escorts.

The AI of cource,i never play MP.Only SP is good enought for me.Especially with the modifications i have made to the files with the editor.
Still sometimes allied AI is tricky if i havent scored against them early on and they gather strength.
