Development screenshot - mixed-mode movement

Post by Golf33 »

This screenshot (taken from our MapMaker utility, which will be released with the game) shows the new movement code in action. Of particular interest (to me anyway) is the way that foot tracks are no longer counted for vehicle movement. We are really starting to simulate the 'go anywhere' nature of infantry, and the restricted nature of vehicle movement, quite well!

Golf,

Thanks for the screenshot. I cannot wait to see some more. Any chance of a little AAR in the near future?

Thanks again.

Well, I'll leave that one for the beta testers to do (with Dave's permission of course).

Cheers

Yes, there's an interesting mix of small maps and enormous maps [:)] Platamon, Korinthos, Rethymnon and Iraklion are pretty small (some only 12x12 or thereabouts); Tempe, Veve Corridor and the Albanian border maps are all huge. I think the largest is something like 37x38.

Cheers
