When playing a scenario at very hard difficulty what sort of logistical and combat advanteges does the computer get?

Is it like UV playing one of those scenarios where the japs are imposible to kill in air to air combat and for the first 5 months every good allied pilots is killed after 2-3 missions?

I don't know all of the things the AI gets, but it definitely gets the 'impossible to shoot down for the first 5 months' advantage. The zero advantage doesn't last that long.
