is weather simulated?

Matrix Games and Simulations Canada combine and completely remake two classic NATO vs. Warsaw Pact wargames into a new classic. Based on the original wargames “Main Battle Tank: North Germany” and “Main Battle Tank: Central Germany”, Flashpoint Germany is a new grand tactical wargame of modern combat. Every aspect of modern grand tactical warfare is included, from advanced armor, air and helicopters to chemical and tactical nuclear weapons. Step into the most dangerous war.. . that never was.

Hi all,

I don't have the game yet and I have a question: how is weather simulated in the game? Thanks.

It's abstract. That is, you don't see the weather effects...but you are told the weather at the bottom of the screen, and this is updated during the course of play.

Rainy days can affect visibility as well as disipation length of chemical weapons as can wind etc.

Thanks. Does anything special happen with the weather when a nuclear device detonates on the map?

Not as far as I know. Weather will also delay or prevent air support...

Again, I think only in terms of contamination...but I would guess to a lesser extent that chemical weapons.

If Rob is kicking about (the developer) he may be able to fill you in more...he wrote it, after all! [;)]
