Projected Patch Schedule

Post by ZONER »

I was just wondering if you have a projeceted time table on releasing a patch to correct some of the known bugs?

Zoner,

I would not expect anything in the very near future. The programmer who coded the game is on vacation for another two weeks. He needs to get back, review the bugs list we are compiling, then madke the code chages (which will need to be checked out by the Beta team again).

Optimistically - minimum 4-5 weeks before we will get a another patch out. Sorry, just bad timing.

Regards,

Nick

What kind of code does WIR use? Is it a hex-based code { C } or a hybrid?
Thanks,

Its written in the C programming language (using Borland's C compiler package), is that what you are asking?

OLD code, Jeff...very OLD code!! Image

Seriously, the coding is hex based and done in an early version of C.

Nick

Just curious, are you using Borland's compiler (GG was using 3.1, I think), or did you have to port it to another compiler, and was that difficult?

Hi Ed,

Borland C, I think ver. 3.0, 3.1. Arnaud would know for sure.

Nick

All,

From looking at the source code, I thought it was 'C', but was not sure. I didn't think 'C' was THAT old. The programers at my job are still using it... Gotta see this room. Dark, windowless dungeon with low desks and monitors. All that is missing is a rack and wall chains... Maybe the desks ARE racks...
