Should I Get StarShatter now or later?

I was looking for B5 mods and I came across this game. I think it looks really cool and I have played a few missions on the Demo. However, because the game is about a year old, I was wondering if a new version was coming out that I should wait for instead. I would hate to buy the game today just to find out that if I waited another month or whatever I could have bought version 2 instead.

The modding community looks really cool. I have been to StarShatter Central and liked what I saw. Which brings up another question. Assuming a new version is coming out, will the existing mod work with it?

I sugest you get SS now, as it is a wonderfull game with endless possibilities.[;)]
Even if you buy this game now, you will be allowed to download official patches and updates through your client "space" on the Matrix website.

As for existing mod compatibility with newer version, the only "reasonable" thing to do is wait and see.[8D]
It seems as if new surprises may be coming in the way and perhaps not even the best modders can appreciate as of now, wha impact will newer versions of SS have on existing mods.

Offcourse, I love SS so my best advice is to get it now and start playing!

Rigth, with the new patch in the works it willbe more of an opportunity to play.
And even if there is going to be a Starshatter 2, no 1 is still a good game in its own right worthy of purchase any time.
Besides even if No 2 comes out it will surely not be a remake, so you will NEED this one to enjoy it fully, so GET IT RIGHT NOW!

Well, I think you've convinced me. I'll download it tonight when I get home from work. The wife will be at a meeting so I might be able to get a couple of hours of gaming in [:D].

I've been reading through the other forum messages since I last posted and I noticed some references to 4.5. If that is a patch, then it will be a significant one. How many developers rewrite their graphics engine just to include it in a patch? Not many, I'm sure.

yes Milo the one man army much like me on other games but thats a difrant story , anyway id highly recomend getting starshatter, its a great game and the ammount of high quality mods that are starting to apear will surely help the comunity also modding is so simple its childs play [:D]
