Old War Plan Orange screenshots.

Post by Tankerace »

While many who have frequented the WitP forums are aquainted with the history of War Plan Orange, since this forum was launched it has gathered a new audience. So, here are some old screenshots to help you trace wits path, from its inception in August to its maturity today.

Image
The Jpeg that started it all. At this point I had no idea what to do with WPO, where to take it, or anything. All I had were a bunch of profiles.

Image
Again, the set of British dreadnoughts. By now I had a rough class list, but no where near what it is today.

Image
The US Predreadnoughts. While good, I later re did most of these for better accuracy.

Image
When I first showed off the British cruisers. At this point it was about late August, early September.

Image
The first ingame screenshot. From here, War Plan Orange started upwards and never looked back.

Image
The results of the first ever test in War Plan Orange. Lion took 2 hits and blew up.

So, I just thought I'd share the early inception of War Plan Orange with you guys. There were several times I thought about abandoning the project, and it was the support of you guys that kept it going. To all, I say thank you.

I remember seeing those and wondering how long before I'd get to mess with them.[:D]
