WE last tangle earlier this year and no cv's sunk then, nor does it look like any now, simply because I was spread way thin, from Siador to San Fran.. but soon I get a lot of New Essex, replacing the 4 of 5 I lost in 42!....
I had 5cvl/cve near them but retired them thinking he was too far away... he then slowed down.. and ad hoc carrier group just arriving in Pearl was sent nipping at his heals...
I think without torpedos unless you get a criticle hit it my be hard to sink larger capital ships...
We both retired after this engagement...

Still no ships reported sunk, Kaga must be ok... Wasp is limping but safe for now..

7026 43 30385 10214

Notice the drop in casualties on no raid days... I will bring planes in 24 pby to add some port punch soon, and the new base at Admiralty is about finished, and Z is retreating towards Wewak... Really surprised by that.... I am hoping to see my refetted fleets compleatly deployed soon, then we wait for the new cariers.. all the while slowly inching up the Gilberts and NG... no rush now.... feeling much better after the last few weeks
I have to move those troops out of Rb, there are soooo many ansd they really eat supplies..... but we are not even close to invading a major base like those in Gilberts or Truk.. maybe they will all go into another overland journey towards wewak.... and Z has raided out towards Sidor/Admiralty with both surface raiders and cv's... soon he will get hurt by something slowing down one of these ships and my 350 2 engine planes stationsed over there will have a chance to excercise...
China is a real pain, If I could get the needed wsupplies I would be in a good possition to really do some damage.... probably take me a year at this rate to open the Ledo road...

I really am feeling the need to beef up my naval air wings.. and until such time as they are increased... no longer than 90 days and multiple cvl/cve cv units come out of the shop, or repair or new ... and as lond as we are still good through 3-1 area, I will not rush anything.. yet I LUST some JAp CV blood.. and I can sence them out there readying to pounce on siado/admiralty again...

OK, We are into August, and is is time for TRUK I just orders somewhere around 550 planes to attack, and Admirailty isn't even up yet.. once it comes to level 4, my b25j will luanch from there .. the days of JAp dominance at sea North of Southern NG are officially over.. come out and play now Z my friend... hehe
In China Z is spanking me in Northern China... and what can I do but piss and bemoan the facts.. not enough supply
In Burma I am slowly pushing my reserves up toward Akyab.. where I plan to destroy his Burma Army then March on Moulmein. Is not Moulmien in 29 range of Palambangobob?

darned heavies failed to fly out of RB.. now we are sending another 200 2e lba as Admiralty just bounced up to a four.. so we are "scedueled at around 700 plane strike hehe
Two subsequint turns have seen massive raids... 24 17 38 25 bingo... Truls fighters are thining down nicely, and the base is being pounded, reportadly at over 50% damage, even managed some suicidal b17 and 25 and 24pby attacks against 3 BB's. Hopefully I can actually start hitting these guys... more troops coming into the area and those 20 units at Rebaul will be released by Sept as the cut off survivors are being killed to the man.. China again looks bad for me in the short run... I am several hundred points above the 3-1 threshold.. around 500, and about 4600 below 2-1.. or add 4600 to my score and I would be at a 2-1 dissadvantage.... taking TRUK, the bases North of the Gilberts.. and Wewak will be big gains due to their heavily invested nature... bases themselves worth little vs the troops/planes there.... VERY surprised to see the stand at WEWAK... Yet I am aware Z is an enemy with teeth, the presence of at least three BB at aTRuk including Musashi confirms that.. and no hits on them btw.... lets see what the next turn holds..

Sortied my limited CV fleet at RB found nothing but some Mine Warfare guys...
too bad, would dearly have loved to bash Musashi...
Truk continues to be pounded, scores continue to rise 30855 10479 in first week of Aug 43
China is a continuing mess....
Burms looks hopefull in the long run simply due to my supply lines being shorter than his..

lots of troops moving towards wewak.. but they may by-pass it as it is non. contiguios with the trail... and RB troops have not been anhialated yet... slowly they must be at all zero for maoral and supply by now ????
Truck's grounded planes continue to be pummeled , and as he is putting up no air I am pulling the most stressed groups to rest...
Activated another carrier group, and several more soon, so hopefully I can get Z to commit to a raid against me where the are,as oppsed to where they are not[:-]

Late aug.. no ratio change on the scores... he is doing a good job of shoting down my escorted lba in Burma [:@]
Time to rethink this one...
Truck is rubble and cutt off.. On to NG.. and the other "next " objectives... still waiting on the replacement cv;s.. three from the loses in 42 due in a few days.... 44 wil be a hot year
Z has withdrawn his fleets... beyond where I can see them at least....
I sure will be glad when the Wellingtons start to upgrade
08 31 43 Full scall attacks in Burma has three large IJA units surronded in Akyab...
Nothing new in other theaters

HOLANDIA FALLS TO DARING PARA RAID...
The Island base off the coast of Northern NG fell Yesterday to a daring dawn paradrop.. MArine paras where quick to secure the airbase.. against light resistance, but are expecting a vigorouss enemy counteratack... planes already have been relocated to this forward size Four base, and fleets redirected... as the para colonel acted alone without counsulting higher authority.... within a few days reinforcements will arive from Siador, and Wewak is now truly isolated.. This base will also be a stepping stone for future raids into Indonesia, as well as against the arsenal located at Palue, home of the Japanese fprward Fleet elements..
One admiral noted that this may be enough to draw the enemy out of his reserved stance, committingto a major fleet action...
Heavies resting in Siador scrambled to hit anouther base of in range of Holandia to support the fleets movingin these waters.. casualties are expected to be high
Akyab is totally surronded as three more divisions close in on these troops...and 250 bombers step up the attacks there...

Losses for my heavies are Terrible... but having Holandia is a great boon, it will wuickly be at five and I am going to stage out of there while starving out and taking over Wewak and the one next to it..... I should be able to go on the offensive soon against those force in and around Kwejulien.. Z holds 3 bases there.. just enough strentgh to do these and have a reserve.... Just checked and the wellingtons will start to upgrade this month, actuall one group comes out soon, forget what they are called ??? the british b24
anyway by 01 44 having those, and my new G b17 will be a help every where.. plan on putting some pressure in towards sra and Burma.... as well as trying to hit a few more Island bases and get a feel for drawing out the IJN... Z is playing it safe so far
I am pissed I missed my chance to sink Musashi when it was at Truk... oh well, I am flyuing long range recon against Palue sp?.. if his main fleet is there .. yummy[:-]
ok, so I am stretching myself out, but in a few I get Yorktown, Lexington and SARA?.. tht will help toooooo

Z immediately put estematedly 100 plus kates/vals judys there... and the next turn, very bloody for me I bomberd it, my heavies out of Biak and Hollandia are stretched thin, Then Z sent a surfase resupply group to TRUK.. TRUK !!!
I could not believe my good fortune as Tk has been shutdown for awhile, only had some 38s on active anti shipping duty... hopefully we will get some freebies here in the next turn or two..
I was VERY surprised, and continue to be that Z is keeping naval forces at PAlue, and I am bombing Sorong, Komini, Wewak, Palue and Truk, and wewak(groud only) daily now....
My first landing in MArshels was aborted, my bombard group will attempt to reduce the levels there some
