Situation Report
India
I'm getting frustrated by the slow progress of my troops in India - especially compared to the speed Allied troops
march around with! (see map) While my men refuse to leave Jamshedpur, the Allied troops that withdrew from here have now almost reached Benares [:(]
I guess Al wants to delay me south of Bombay until he can save them and then withdraw in an orderly fashion towards Dehli. I found the 2nd Oz Division south of Bombay today...hm, there might be a lot of enemy troops around now.
Have to come up with a good plan if I'm going to manage to pull this one off. There are 60 fighters and 90 bombers at Bombay, in less than a week my batttleships will flatten the place! Al might hit Hyderabad tomorrow, moved in more Zeros.
The interdiction above my forward elements south of Lucknow was a success, he will think twice before sending out his Wellingtons again. Need more than Buffalos to escort them.. He needs his best fighters to defend against a large raid against Lucknow proper!
I'm a little worried: suddenly I spotted 2 enemy tf's north of Derby in northern Oz! One made up from transports and apd's, the other of dd's. What is he up to? I've not spotted enemy convoys in the Timor Sea for months. I'm afraid he wants to reinforce India! That could be the reason why it has been so quiet in the South Pacific lately...I've been expecting an all out assault any day now.
Since the cunning Kiwi knows that I got cv's in the area, he would have to bring his own to get through. Curse him sideways if he's up to something nasty! All my cv's in the area are low on fuel and I've dispatched the 2nd Carrier Division to Truk were it will arrive in 2 days. So I'm too weak to stand in his way...3-4 enemy divisions and 5 cv's would be more than enough to save India [:(]
A seaplane tender and 2 destroyers will continue to shadow the enemy transports, if he really is trying to move through the area in force - his carriers will demolish them and I'll know for sure!
I got Betties and Zeros at Kendari and I've relocated more bombers to Sumatra and Java. There are now 150 of them in the area, but virtually no fighters. I could move reserves from Truk, hmm.. I'll prepare a devils potion for him if he's really up to what I think he is.
The next turns will be exiting....
Central/Southern Pacific
It's quiet, and this makes me even more suspicious. Today there were no enemy CAP above Lunga and the enemy ships around Tarawa is the only activity I've spotted for more than a week. The strikes from PM continues, but the raids isn't that powerful anymore either.
What do you think guys, is Al going to reinforce India....and if so, what should I do about it?
I don't think I got more than a 50% chance of booting him from the continent as it is, and just a few carriers and divisions would be enough to delay me long enough to reduce that chance to nada [:o] Then I would have to start making Tokyo fire proof!
