It's strange, I have one scenario 15 going, and 1/3 of all the leader names have vanished. It only lists leadership and inspiration. While in a Dec 8 game there has been no problem whatsoever with the leaders.

Go figure? Is this strictly a scenario database problem?[&:]

Could well be. I'm in Jan 1943 in my Scen 16 game, and I haven't lost leaders so far...as much as I can tell. I do had Japanese LTs in charge of some ships, but that's to be expected, I guess.

HI,
I just want to state that I would like this feature (the leaders, not the bug) to remain in the game. I sort of like it !

I'm starting to wonder whether the leader bug and the screwy divided air unit limit aren't somehow connected. Both problems seemed to show up in our game at the same time....and neither one seems to be an issue in scenario 16??

I just found this thread, and I can't stop laughing! Too bad I'll seem like a nutcase if I try to explain to anyone outside this board...

I didn't know you guys had such a fixation with the word "crap."

Any of you know its etymology?

crap - Middle english crappe chaff, derives from latin crappa

No, it did NOT come from Sir Thomas Crapper. [:-] [:D] (pre-emptive strike!!) By the way, he did NOT invent the flush toilet (although he came up with a variant). However, his NAME got him the credit (for more things than one)

Halsey,

I don't think it's strictly a database problem, because many of the leaked Japanese leaders are not in the scenario database. A quick way to determine this is when you don't see a comma in the leader's name. (e.g., "Muto, K." corresponds to a leader entered into the scenario database, while "Muto K." [w/o the comma] is a computer-generated leader). Many of the leaked Japanese leaders that appear in my games are of the computer-generated kind.

Heck, I've even seen computer-generated ALLIED names as "replacement" leaders, and these allied names lead me to believe -- as others have stated -- that the leaked names are pilots because they have AF ranks, not navy (e.g., an individual with the rank "FLT" in command of a ship). Also, when I see a leaked Japanese leader from the database, if I look back into the database, that leader always seems to be from the pilot list!!
