Changing Icons

Post by Yogi Yohan »

Is there any way to change which icon each tank type is assigned? The reason I'm asking is that I want to remove the PzIVd (since it is practically the same as the PzIVe) and instead have the PzIVf2 enter service in april of 1942.

I do this by redoing the 'd' model into 'e' and the 'e' into the 'f2' which leaves the 'f2' with a 'e'-type icon. I would like to assign it the PzIVg/h icon instead.

I am not sure how easy it is to change the icon assigned in the version you have - I would bet it can be done by hacking the data, which some have done, but I don't know how.

In the next version, the wiredit program allows the icons assigned to a tank or aircraft to be changed quite easily, if it is distributed with the game update. If so, it should be out within a few weeks, I think.
