Well, its good to see that the matrix guys are laughing at their own inability to fix the leader bug after 5 patches. It sure reinforces the feeling I had that they are on top of things.
The era of procrastination, of half-measures, of soothing and baffling expedients, of delays, is coming to a close.
In its place we are entering a period of consequences..

She is the UCLA "Tokyo Rose" - it's true that Tokyo Rose was not her real name, but I don't think that was ever very important to her listeners. I think everybody knew that was just a handle to begin with. I mean she could have been Tokyo Betty, or Nell, or Kate, or Val, but those names were already taken.... [;)] Like Axis Sally and Lord Haw Haw (any others?), she just broadcast music and propaganda to whomever was in range. Whether there was 1 Tokyo Rose, or 8, or 10, I doubt if it mattered much. GIs enjoyed the music and sometimes the propaganda was hilarious; sometimes it was spooky.

I never understood what Natasha saw in Boris. Bullwinkle's loyalty to Rocky I can buy...given the evident discrepancy in intelligence, but Natasha's character develoment was lacking. She seemed almost cartoonish. Was he a father figure to her? Was he good in bed? A fun party guy? Somehow it didn't seem have credibility.

BTW..wasn't the "B" turret on the Bismarck called "Boris"?

I never understood what Natasha saw in Boris.

Thats because they were "lifted" from the Adams family ... tough when you steal characters to give them background.

She seemed almost cartoonish.

Holy cow! They seemed cartoonish to you? Hard to believe!![X(][:'(]

As for them being stolen from Addam's family - dunno about this. However, Charles Addams began drawing the cartoon earlier than R+B. According to his bio web site: "1937 was the first year that an "Addams Family" cartoon appeared." So i guess it is possible.

We are sinking really low when we start speculating on the sex lives of cartoon characters.

So do you think it was Boris' mustache?[:D]

I guess you're not old enough to remember that the "Addams Family" started as a newspaper cartoon all the way back before WWII.

Hi, Nope I never saw that. Well ok then. I know Fred Flintstone was copied after Ralph Cramdon from Honey Mooners. (well all the charactors in Flintsones were from Jackies show)

This is from a Rocky and Bullwinkle fan site:
Boris and Natasha's character designs (short guy, tall lady, dark features, pale skin) were based off the original Addams Family comic strip versions of Gomez and Morticia, created by Charles Addams.

It surprised me too, I was going to make the same point you did about the dates of the TV shows, but I got distracted by something, oh, I remember now, it was work.[;)]
