readiness v. 2.1 bug?

Post by GET TRANSPT »

Hi guys. I'm playing Soviet vs. computer in the 41 campaign (v. 2.1. 7/27/41) and two armies entrenched in the Vitebsk area just lost readiness from 50-60% to 11-15%!(both armies contain 3 tank and 2 rifle divs). The problem is that they did not plot, move, engage in combat, and were not air attacked. They did entrench another level. The HQ (Moscow) had plenty of OP's during the previous turn (40+)and only a couple of its units suffered attacks. Is this a sudden outbreak of malaria?

thanks!

The same thing happened to me, I tried to air supply a soviet tank army south of Vitebsk in '41 and it lost readiness rather than gained it. Did you air supply?

Could you zip up and send me your save game files (including the combat report) to my listed e-mail? I can take a look at it and see what looks weird, if anything. One thing that strikes me is you are way over stacked with 11 stacking points (3 per tank div/corps, 1 per rifly div) versus the limit of 5 or so. This will cause a significant drop in readiness, but I would not expect this drastic of one.

Thanks

Actually, if he's more than doubled the stacking limit, I would *expect* the readiness penalty to be severe.
