During AI vs. AI play i pressed ESC and the game freezed. Repeatable.

Ah yes, that was part of a developer shortcut to freeze the action so I could look up values that were being dumped elsewhere. It is harmless and mostly disabled right now but I'll take a peek again and see if I can get rid of it altogether.

Edit: Looking at the source again I see that I meant to leave it like that. The Escape key is intended to act like a pause key so that you can stop the action as desired to keep up with events.

I'm inclined to leave it as it is for now.

Ah no .. the game freezed to not responding anymore.

It's only happening in the resolution phase - and only when fighting takes place. Then the game becomes "not responding"
