Stug IIIb carnage!

Post by NEON DEON »

While playing Wir v 2, I came across a most
peculiar thing. My Stug battailions were almost tankless by the onset of winter 1941!

So I tried to recreate some little battles.
Turns out that A Stug IIIb battalion will almost always lose close to 50% of its tanks
in a single battle if the number of tanks is
18 or less. Ouch! Ok no problem I will just
increase Stug production. EEEEEk! Now the PZIII H are drying up!

With the over stacking stuff added to the game why was if necessary to lower these German tank values?

The way it sits now a VW Bug would have a better chance of surving a battle than a Stug IIIb.)

I guess it is lucky that the losses for StuGs are limited to 50% Image. In the next release (hopefully in the next couple of weeks), most of the tank values will be back to or very close to where they were originally, so losses should return to close to before, plus there are changes to the combat resolution. The values seem to play out pretty well, based on playtesting of the 41 campaign.
