Air Transfer

Post by Davros »

When i transfer air units into a HQ i get a
insufficent memory message when i look at the aircraft to assign roles like bomb airfield. in the following turn the same message applies to the hq with the new air units. The others are fine.

Can anyone Help?.

Do i need a bootdisk or something?

Ed C. and others may have other thoughts, but is sounds like you are low on memory. This is the first report of this air unit problem for WIR, but the PacWar forum has a number of people reporting this problem with air groups also. Anyway, based on your operating system, there are different things to try. There are a number of threads from a while ago on how to free up memory without a boot disk, or you can try a boot disk.

Good luck.

No, you're on the money, a memory problem would be my first guess here too.

Yes it's a memory problem, or some other quirk. Used to happen to me quite often years ago when playing WIR with my 286. Shut off other memory munchers and if it persists, make a bootdisk and use that. Sometimes just saving & restarting the game works.

I'm not sure, but I think sometimes even simply fooling around with other stuff for a while, then trying again sorted it out.

Yours, Teppo
