I do: 1941/Scenario Edit/
Vallentain in pool - 0 (zero)
'q'/Select some char
Vallentain in pool - 400!!!

And other tanks and aircraft so... 8(

I can't get this to happen in the current beta, so it looks like this problem no longer exists.
