Transferring Units into Korps / HQ's ...No Lockup Penalty

Post by shane056 »

Is it possible to consider the option of being able to transfer any unit(s) into the corps and HQ's without them being frozen up, so that you can still plot them or initiate air strikes.
It would work like this.. New unit(s) being transferred into a corps or HQ, would have an asterix next them signifying that this unit or these units are in the process of being transferred into this corps or HQ and as such it's CV (combat value) would not be added to that of the corps or HQ for this current turn, but only on the next following turns.
This would allow transferring to take place in preparation of the next turns move, instead of losing a turn waiting for the plot lockup to be removed from the corps, or allowing HQ's to still initiate air strikes.
It goes without saying that the Germans or the Soviets did not wait a week before they could move a unit into combat, whilst they were transferring units into a corps etc, which was done whilst these units were engaged in combat. This simple process will give this game great flexibility, and in no way jeopardise its functionality.... Shane

Hi!

No shane I don' need you doing this before the gates of Moscow, just take your time and transfer around a week, then rest a week Image

Joke aside I think it would be a major coding to allow this. The idea is not bad, but you should count on the turmoil of the battle. It is not sure that the reinforcements arrive in the destination if the destination moves around. And for the germans in 41 this would be a way to big advatage... You could shift balance way too quick...
