PC Gamer Review

Post by JosephL »

Wow two in one day? I'm on a roll :-)

Starshatter appeared in PC Gamer this month and snagged a nice 74%. Compared to NRA Hunter which got a 07% (possibly the lowest score I have ever seen in PCG) that's not bad.

My favorite line from this puppy is:

"There's enough replay value here to satiate even the most voracious Luke Skywalker wanna-bes."

Maybe I like it because he used the word vocacious... maybe I like it because I never saw a journlaist write wanna-bes... either way you can read the full article in the March edition of PCgamer.

Yeah, that was my thought, too.
74%? [:-] Tsk...
I'd give it at least a B+; I'd even bump it up to an A when you consider how moddable it is. I'll be playing this one for years.

They're probably just leaving room for a better score on the sequel. [;)]

NRA Hunter only got such poor reviews because the reviewers are a bunch liberal anti-gun pansies! That and because the game really sucks...

Does that mean there will be an offical sequel?

Yea, I have been. Like 4 1/2 years now.

@milo: True. After seeing how your run things each release is not more of the same but always better than the last.

What? You thought we'd ever let milo stop working on SS?

True, I have been lurking for about two years before the game was published. I am figuring if there is a sequel the story will move forword, and maybe some new ships and maybe features.

Take a look to topic Geez, I'm tired...
You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.
