the boise attacked a group of jap ships and SUNK 4 DD and the CL Naka

the Boise is at this time near kendari heading south with the CA Houston, both ships have taken aerial torps and the Houston is not expected to reach Kendari

there are over 80000 allied troops in singapore and over 90000 in manila, with the AF at manila being expanded to support the bombers withdrawn from clark field

as soon as the game began i ordered all troops in malaya and in the PI to withdraw to Singapore and Manila respectively, the idea being to make them VERY well defended

POW has also taken several aerial torps from raids on singapore, but those raids have cost the japs HEAVILY in AC, with 1 raid resulting in over 30 AC being destroyed

but i can and AM running hit and run raids here and there

You're doing well so far. It looks like you've been timing those raids well. Don't get too cocky, or their air power will make you pay big time. I have also noticed that the AI will send surface combat TFs to places where you have intercepted their unescorted transports. Recon is the key, so you can hit 'em where they ain't!

What was that ASW attack off Khota Bharu? I've never seen so many ships involved in any combat, and yet only Japanese ships were listed. I think that there is some seriously dead sea life off Khota Bharu right now.

unfortunately these raids have been going without aircover, as i dont really have baseforces/AC or bases to support them

the bombardments at davao are to disrupt the forward air base the japs have set up there

as for that ASW force, they must have sighted 1 of my subs, which have been doing VERY well, but then the sub slipped away, very strange i agree, i dont think ive ever seen that many ships anywhere either, i just wish i coulda placed sum minefields there

as for wat naval forces i have available, im habving them hope around the DEI and the PI, basing and rebasing themselves, basically using guerilla/hit and run tactics, which has the side effect of throwing the japs off balance[:D]



ive moved a subgroup of the AVG into siingapore to augment the defenses there, and singapore has definitely benefitted from their presence

the japs have as i mentioned, launched raids at singapore, but theyve paid very heavily, tho the POW has taken several aerial torps, but shes not that bad off

as for recon, well i dont have much in the way of recon either, tho im trying to use wat i have to exact a price on the japs

as for POW and repulse, ive grouped them with sum CLs and DDs, and if and wen the IJN comes calling at or near singapore, they will SUFFER at the gun muzzles of the POW and Repulse
