Tech Help

Post by goodwoodrw »

I have been trying to login on my old username, but only accepts me as a guest. I have gone through the forgot password routine etc still can't get in, even after I have confirmed process. I have emailed Support on 3 or 4 ocassions, over the past week or so, no reply at all. what have I done wrong as I didn't have any problems registering a new username with another email address[:@]

Might toss this thread into the main tech support forum. Tech support for gamers by gamers. Alot of the "heknowsall" types check in there.

Yeah,I've had to re-register at least 3 times for the same reason,(each time losing my "recorded posting numbers").
Every time,it's been Marc Schwanebeck who came to my rescue to get me back in..

Having been through the forgotten password routine several times (since it's usually in the cookie, but then when the laptop goes in the shop both the cookie and the e-mail are on that machine...), the thing that occasionally trips me up is that when you go through the routine, you think you are done because you get an e-mail with the password but if you read all the words [:D] you find that you need to click on a link in the e-mail to confirm the password before you can use it to log in.

Did you follow the exact directions in the main forum? I don't think Vic or Shawn reads here so he's not likely to see your post.

Perchance, did you change your e-mail address? If so - it will go to the old address.

Hi, my email is ok, because you are sent an email to confirm if it is you that made the request, along with a link and a temporary password. you can automatically click on the provided link which hasn't worked for me or manually do it by clicking on second link and manually input the temporary password, once this is done you get a message saying you'll be emailed a temporay password again! I never receive that password. and the other doesn't work either

yuk gotta learn preview before posting

I was just issued a new TEMPORARY password as I had forgotten my old one (which I liked alot). How does one change their temporary password issued to me?

I'm using a temp also that is permanent.  I don't think you can change it.

I never thought that doing an AAR would be so time consuming and difficult.
