PBEM helper help needed

Post by Fuerte »

I'm adding support for War in Russia to the PBEM helper application. Now I need your help!

First: What is a good acronym for War in Russia? WARRUS? Pacific War is PACWAR.

Second: I need two beta testers, who are willing to play with each other secure PBEM with this helper. I'm 99% sure that the helper will work right away, but I want to make sure before I release it in public.

The beta helper will be available in two days. The current version is available at:

The PBEM documentation is here (the first site can be slow):
http://www.sci.fi/~fuerte/pbem.htm
http://www.nic.fi/~fuerte/pbem.htm

The download is here:
http://www.sci.fi/~fuerte/pbem.zip
http://www.nic.fi/~fuerte/pbem.zip

The documentation is included in the download.

This version supports only SPWaW, Combat Mission and Pacific War.

I will test it. Will you play the german side for 2-4 turns?
WIR as acronym?

Is WIR used commonly here?

It would be better if it was tested by real players, I have never played WIR, except a couple of quick tests yesterday. But let's play!

In fact I already made the PBEM work, so I can send the beta version to you this evening (I live in Finland).

You should first install the version from above, I will only send the new .exe.

A nice tool. Ive only one problem with it, none of my opponents use it. By the way, its easy to handle, helps keeping the overview and you don´t need a filecommander anymore.

Big thanks@fuerte
