RE: PALMYRA ATTACKED

Post by freeboy »

I think this is the correct time to show just what the streangths Jap player enjoyes in the first six months.. he can be just about anywhere, he can move strong forces at will, supported by carrier air. His lba range is such that I MUST pull back almost my entire fleet .. that cl is in port dgetting patched up.. or else it too would have been long gone..
As the JAp player one doesn't run the risk of STRONG oposition until the better carrier planes show up mid 42, and I got super lucky last turn as K underestimated Batavia and my air power... He still will over run Palambang and march toward the end of the Island, he will still over run Borneo... and Batavia will not hold out over time.. not enough .. air power to thwart it being turned into big jap air bombing range... but what can I do? take little nibbles, like the "kick in the pants" and "slap in the face above ", if in late 42 I hold Ledo road, OZ, PM and have taken back Palmyria, Baker and Canton I will be pleased.. but the most important part of allied strategy is not to lose too much and give an open door to forther and painful Jap expansion....

Post by kaleun »

As the last remains of the Batavia TF desperately try to land their units before sinking, some good news are reported. The island of Jolo in the PI is now in Japanese hands, with its size 4 airbase. It will soon start its contribution to the invasion of Borneo (Phase three of the DEI campaign) Occasional Chinese sorties are chased back away from the railroad as we speak

A sailor from the first carrier division was beheaded today after summary trial. He committed a security lapse with some traitorous comfort woman that has also been executed. As a result the Kichiku beihei now know the location of Carrier division one, and this will alter ongoing operations.
Palenbang and Jolo have fallen into the Co-prosperity sphere

RE: DEI revisisted (in reply to freeboy)

A sailor from the first carrier division was beheaded today after summary trial. He committed a security lapse with some traitorous comfort woman that has also been executed. As a result the Kichiku beihei now know the location of Carrier division one, and this will alter ongoing operations.
Palenbang and Jolo have fallen into the Co-prosperity sphere
[:'(]

I am sure this info is not only a plant, but a good one.. Unless K actually uses his carriers that little icoon could be a remnaint of a carrier group with only one DD in it for all I know, but he has had a consistant presence in teh area, and given his early war strategy of slow in SRA and leaping early to grab Sout hPac areas, I would not be too surprised to see them at Palmyria defending against my invasion currently in the final stages of planning

We are at it again, K is attacking into the SRA.. Bataan is about to fall, palambogbob is being bombed... Palmyria still in the evil nippo master's hands for now, but soon it will see the sun rays of freedom replacing those of bad K! He keeps adding troops to Rabaul, yet I still hold it.. makes you happy to be the Allied when things work, and all my lovely early carriers are allive for now.. but I feel that if he comes out to play I may commit them

Bataan falls boo hoo
In other areas RB still holds firm, K has gotta be pissed about that!
In the Palmyria area, a strong Jap Carrier group stood cap tfor a few turns before withdraing, perhaps thinking I was invading sooner than planing allows [:D]

I still hold Java, and K has limit Borneo attacks to around the area in the corner near Singapore... I expect those forces in PI to be launched out soon

MAndaly still in Brit hands
