Demo?

Gary Grigsby's World At War gives you the chance to really run a world war. History is yours to write and things may turn out differently. The Western Allies may be conquered by Germany, or Japan may defeat China. With you at the controls, leading the fates of nations and alliances. Take command in this dynamic turn-based game and test strategies that long-past generals and world leaders could only dream of. Now anything is possible in this new strategic offering from Matrix Games and 2 by 3 Games.

Demo?

Post by Moranga »

I would like to know if there will be a demo release. I would like to see how this game runs before I purchase it. It looks to me to be like another from of Axis & Allies, albeit on a more detailed scale.

Its so far beyond simple Axis & Allies. I don't know whether Matrix is going to committ to a demo, but regardless the game is more than worth the time & money. I believe it will be one of the definitive/popular WWII wargames we've seen in the last 10 years.

Have you previewed A World at War then? [ www.aworldatwar.com ]

Matrix games will be publishing that in the near future. Maurice should know about it.

I believe A World at War will be the defnitive war game with AI. Much more detail than GGWAW and much less over detailed in Heart of Iron.

So only a few more days/weeks until GGWAW comes out. I will get it. I need a new WW2 game. Strategic Command 2 only looks like a prettier version of the original. HOI2 is getting bad reviews with the AI.

Oh contraire........the editor alone will give this one the dynamics of a strategic TOAW.

I have Norm's original version, and even with this first cut, almost any WW2 war scenario can be made, a touch lacking on the naval aspects. I'm expecting the same(maybe more) flexibility with SC2 editor, albeit at the strategic scale.
