Post by Mist »

I always break my head in infinite thinking about its possible moves and always wonder how did he manage to put new units on my way, or were did those hundreeds of tanks go from surrounded HQ. Please help me!

I know about the double replacements and readiness cheats that the AI uses, not sure about any others, at least they don't come to my mind right now. If you play the game at the even setting some of these cheats will not occur as the programmer has eliminated these two at least.

The AI still cheats a little, mostly :

- it uses different rules when marching units,
- it has a better knowledge of the strength of your units than a human player does.

I have eliminated most of the cheats, and the computer now has the same replacements a human player (if you play at "even" level)

You can tell he's a busy man. He's a "recruit" with only 13 posts to his name. Image

A very simple AI cheet...the blizzard.

As a human playing the soviet you will be lucky to see 2 weeks of it, in human vrs human games ditto....but in german vrs soviet AI watch out. It seems the better you do the longer and earlier the blizzard gets. My record under the original WIR (1.1 I think) was 19 straight weeks of blizzard. Most time I average around 8-10 (though given the time it takes to play a game even though I have been playing the game for a long time I have played probably less than 20 games so that may not be statistically significant) if memmory serves. In the latest veresion I got 1 week of mud, several weeks of snow followed (as I expected) by a blizzard in the first week of december. It is for this reason that I am so concerned about the combat effects under blizzards in the other thread...
