RE: 43 camp
I would like to give Germany a go. Your conditions are that we use the rules in the new rules forum and are alowed to use port transport?
RE: 43 camp
Exactly. Plus the victory condition for Germany is to hold Eastern Europe when the game is over. I'll PM you with my email address.

HOUSE RULES
1) A corps can only change its commanding HQ before it receive extra supply.
2) No HQ may launch more than two missions of the same type, per turn. No single enemy unit may be attacked more than 2 times per turn.
3) To plot more than 2 hexes of movement an armored Korps/Corps must be composed of AT LEAST TWO Panzer, Tank, Motorized, PanzerGrenadier (PZG), Mechanized or Cavalry Divisions FOR EVERY ONE non-mobile (Infantry) Division. If an armored Korps containing regular infantry divisions does not have the minimum amount of mobile Divisions in it, it may only plot 2 hexes as if it were an infantry Korps/Army.
4) All Soviet HQ's within 3 squares of the eastern edge of the map, are considered to be "beyond the Urals" and MAY NOT be attacked by player directed air missions, such as an airfield attacks. The air groups in these HQ's can't fight however, they must be in training mode only. This rule no longer applies once the HQ has one or more enemy korps within 7 hexes to it.
5) No Hungarian, Rumanian, or Finnish units may be sent to the West or Italian Front HQs. No Italian units may be sent to the West Front HQ.
6) Finnish forces MAY NOT attack Leningrad (40,7) or it’s supply hex (41,6). The Soviets are required to garrison Leningrad with MINIMUM 3 Divisions even though Finland may not attack. If the Germans capture Leningrad, Finnish forces are allowed to enter Soviet territory and engage in combat but they must remain on or above the 12th parallel.
7) (3.3 only) No player may have more than 1 heavy tank factory for every 2 light or medium tank factories.
8) A corps must use all its plots (2 or 5) to enter an enemy controlled mountain or swamp hex. Under snow or blizzard conditions, the swamps are frozen and are clear terrain.
9) No changing the chains of command
10) If an HQ is in supply and in contact with enemy then it must withdraw.
(Note: I modified rule 10 because I don't like to count squares around my HQs all the time. I hope you don't mind)
VICTORY CONDITIONS
Germany: hold Warszaw, Budapest and Bucharest when the game is over.

We started. The glorious Red Army liberates the city of Orel, which was abandoned by the evil despicable Nazis. We advance with care to guard against their ruses! Onward to Berlin we will go [8D]

abandoning Orel?...so he preserved his Elefants to fight another day and somewhere else....
RE: 43 camp
He's preserving everything [X(] The Stavka can no longer locate the enemy's massive panzer corps. We advance with great care as a result. The Nazis have allowed us to restore the land link to Leningrad but an attack on Kharkov failed this week.

RE: 43 camp
This is my 1st time playing the 43 camp. Great efforts have gone into shortening my lines to free up divisions for reserve/attacking. I need time to reform my army and to build up my weak pz divisions. I think I have commited too many pz divisions to the west but im slowly bringing them back to the east.
RE: 43 camp
The Nazis are running away in the north and the south! We caught up with a few west of Velikyie Luki and managed to surround an SS PzKorps. In the center they are standing still and our attacks are less successful. The glorious Red Army has also liberated Kharkov this week. Comrade Stalin is ecstatic [&o]

RE: 43 camp
A major Russia attack has been launched west of Velikyie Luki destroying all German divisions in its path. 2 pz korps have been sent to the area to stem the Russia tide only to be brushed aside with my elete ss korps being encircled. This area has the bulk of german troops but has failed to hold the Russians at bay. It seems like the only way to halt the Russians is to retreat untill they run out of gas!!
A small counter attack has been launched in the centre destroying a Russian tank army.

Week 5
The Russian forces advancing from Velikyie Luki and Demyansk have detected a big concentration of armor and Luftwaffe in the Vitebsk area. The enemy is also setting up another position around Pskov. Since it looks like the Nazis are preparing a cut-off maneuver, the local Tank Armies have been ordered to assume defensive positions and wait for supplies and reinforcements before proceeding. Meanwhile, the Red Air Force has concentrated around Stalino in the south, an area almost deserted by the Luftwaffe, and assisted in pushing back two Fascist corps.

Even my mighty panzers are failing to capture there objectives. A great tank battle will be fought inbetween vitebsk and pskov with a attempt to capture Moscow !! LOL

RE: 43 camp
Thanks for the figures. Almost 1-1 is tough for the Germans though. I hope the real Kursk won't happen at Pskov in this game

RE: 43 camp
The greatest tank battle in histroy has begun. The next few months shall decide the outcome of this war. limmited objectives have been gained in the centre with the destruction of a shock army. All other attacks have failed causing Germany large losses.
RE: 43 camp
The Stavka think that the Nazis are very aggressive for this stage of the war. A counter-attack has been ordered against an SS PzKorps and it was forced to retreat with the loss of some 270 of its tanks. Our losses were comparable, but we believe we can afford them better than the Krauts. Pskov has been isolated and Poltava liberated.

RE: 43 camp
The battle of Vitebsk has been been halted due to our very large armor losses. We are more than able to destroy many Soviet divisions in this area but are unable to to destroy his armor.
RE: 43 camp
Pskov has been captured this week by the glorious Red Army. We'll wait for supplies before going on after the fast advance. In the center, we have everywhere reached the enemy's Desna defense line and we're drawing close to Kiev. In the south we had some battles for the Dnepr's bend this week, with mixed results. The losses ratio so far is roughly 1.5:1 in infantry and tanks and 1:1 in arty and aircraft.
